Sanitation in Latner keeps hired equipment such as portable toilets serviced on a schedule: a Sanitation line on the rental contract raises a docket each time a service falls due, the office schedules or routes it, a driver completes it on site, and it's billed on actuals.
How Sanitation Works
Sanitation runs alongside the hire itself. Each part of the flow has its own article below.
-
Setup - Sanitation Services define what you sell, pump drivers and subcontractors do the work, and two settings control visit length and when servicing stops. See How to Set Up Sanitation.
-
Sanitation lines - add a Sanitation line under an equipment line on a quote or contract, with a Sanitation Type, a frequency (Weekly, Fortnightly, 3 Weeks, 4 Weeks or Ad Hoc), the days of the week it's serviced on, a charge and an optional futile price. See How to Create a Sanitation Detail Line.
-
Dockets - once the equipment is On Rent, Latner keeps one Open docket for each service day on the line. Completing a docket raises the next one, on the same weekday one frequency period on. Ad hoc dockets can be raised any time for a one-off extra service. See How to Create an Ad Hoc Sanitation Docket.
-
Scheduling - allocate dockets to drivers and subcontractors on Sanitation Allocation, or plan an ordered run for a driver with Sanitation Routing. Sanitation Regions and the Sanitation Map group and show the work by area.
-
Doing the work - drivers see their run in the mobile app and mark each docket Completed or Futile. The office can do the same from the docket page.
-
Billing - completed and futile dockets are billed as they're finished, one invoice line per docket, plus any Additional Fee per completed docket. See How to Invoice All Outstanding Sanitation Dockets and How to Set an Additional Fee per Docket.
When Servicing Stops
When the equipment is off hired or returned (depending on the Finish Sanitation Schedule on Off Hire setting), its open scheduled dockets are removed and no new ones are raised. Completed and futile dockets stay and are still billed, and ad hoc dockets are never removed. Cancelling the off hire (with the setting on) or the return (with it off) starts the schedule again.
